Amateurs Tactics for Pai Gow Poker

[ English ]

Pai Gow Poker is a modern game with old origins. Founded on the old Chinese domino game and the current American version of poker, Pai Gow poker marries the eastern with the wild west in an excellent game for new gamblers.

Pai Gow is a poker game that pits the player versus the dealer, not like most other poker games that players wager with other gamblers. By playing against the dealer, beginner players do not have to worry about other, more advanced individuals winning their mulla.

Another Pai Gow benefit is the generally leisurely game pace, beginners are able to take their time and strategize without having to make frenzied decisions.

It’s also easier to enjoy for a long time with just a small amount of cash since, to not win, each of your hands has to be under each of the houses hands.

Pai Gow is played with 53 cards; the familiar 52-card standard deck and one joker. The gambler is given seven cards faces showing and the croupier gets 7 cards faces hidden.

A 5 card hand and one 2 card hand need to be put together from the seven cards, the 5 card hand has to be better than the 2 card hand. To succeed, a player is required to have both of his hand values to be higher than the casino’s.
