Newcomer Tactics for Double-Hand Poker

Double-hand Poker is a current game with old ancestry. Based on the ancient Chinese tile game and the current American adaptation of poker, Pai Gow poker joins the east with the west in a great game for new players.

Pai Gow is a poker game that puts the gambler vs. the dealer, unlike nearly all other poker games that players play against other players. By betting against the dealer, new players do not need to worry about other, more skillful individuals winning their $$$$.

Another Pai Gow benefit is the relatively leisurely game play, rookies will be able to take their time and strategize without needing to make quick decisions.

It’s also simpler to gamble on for an extended time with just a small amount of money after all, to not win, each of your hands must be lower than each of the houses hands.

Pai Gow is played with 53 cards; the familiar 52-card basic deck and one joker. The gambler is dealt seven cards face up and the dealer gets 7 cards faces hidden.

A 5 card hand and a 2 card hand need to be put together from the 7 cards, the five card hand has to be stronger than the two card hand. To succeed, a player needs both of his hand values to be higher than the dealer’s.
